Does CaseDNA need an internet connection?

No. The full case database ships inside the app and everything runs on your device. The only time your browser opens is when you tap a source link to read a full opinion online.

What does the database cover?

Published U.S. federal Courts of Appeals opinions from 1990 onward, across all thirteen circuits, sourced from the public-domain Caselaw Access Project corpus. Coverage is a research sample, not a complete or current-law database — the About screen in the app states the exact scope.

Is this legal advice? Can I cite it in a filing?

No. CaseDNA is a preparation and analytics companion. It does not verify that any case is still good law. Always confirm authority in a primary source (Westlaw, Lexis, or CourtListener) before citing.

Why does a case show "pending" instead of an outcome?

CaseDNA only shows a disposition when it can quote it from the opinion text. When the text isn't clear enough, it abstains rather than guess — that's by design.

What do the judge statistics mean?

They are descriptive counts over the public record, shown with sample sizes and 95% confidence intervals, and suppressed when samples are too small. They are never a claim of bias and never a prediction of how a judge will rule.

How do I delete my data?

Everything you create (saved cases, folders, notes, follows) lives only on your device. Deleting the app removes it all.
