Privacy Policy
This policy applies to the DuePath iPhone and Mac apps and the DuePath evidence service when it is available.
Information used for app functionality
When you submit a research request, DuePath may send the text you provide—such as jurisdiction, date, research goal, and case summary—to the verified evidence service so it can return an evidence-grounded research packet. The app may also receive documents or text you choose to provide for research features.
Do not submit sealed, confidential, or sensitive personal records unless a feature clearly identifies a secure, authorized workflow for them. Do not submit another person’s information unless you have a lawful right to do so.
How information is used
Research content is used only to provide the requested app functionality, maintain service security, and investigate errors or abuse. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to track you across apps or websites. DuePath does not use research content to train a general-purpose model without separate, explicit permission.
Retention and deletion
DuePath is designed to process research requests rather than create a public archive of personal case information. Service operators may retain limited operational records only as needed for security, reliability, legal compliance, and incident investigation. If you need help with a request involving personal information, contact support and do not include unnecessary sensitive facts in your message.
Sharing
DuePath shares research content only with service providers needed to operate the verified evidence service, when required by law, or to protect the service and its users. Public legal sources displayed in the app remain subject to their own source terms and rights information.
Security
DuePath is designed to use encrypted HTTPS connections for production evidence requests. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; avoid providing sensitive information unless it is necessary and an authorized secure workflow is available.
Children
DuePath is not directed to children. Do not provide information about a child except where you have legal authority and an authorized feature explicitly requires it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are posted. For privacy or support questions, visit the DuePath Support page.
